Our fees

We understand that cost will always be an important factor when you are considering legal advice.

Because we are a Community Interest Company (CIC), we are able to set our fees at competitive and affordable rates.

We believe it is important that everyone has access to justice, including those who might have been eligible for publicly-funded advice services before the reforms of the Legal Aid System.

We work hard to offer you value for money and provide a professional, competitive service. We can also offer a tailored ‘fixed fee package’ in Family Law and Immigration cases – setting out costs upfront and helping you to control your budget.

We offer the following options.

Wills, probate, powers of attorney, trusts, estate planning, asset protection

We offer a free initial consultation of 30 minutes’ duration and fixed fees for Wills, Probates, Powers of Attorney, Asset Protection and Asset Protection.

We also offer free drop-in sessions on Wednesdays from 2pm onwards. No appointment is necessary. Alternatively telephone, email or call in to make an appointment.

Please call us to discuss our hourly rate and fixed fee options.

Where appropriate, we may also be able to offer a ‘fixed fee package’. If your case is complex we will quote charges specific to your requirements.

Access to Justice Package

At Castle Park Solicitors we are committed to providing quality legal advice at affordable prices and to ensuring, wherever possible, that access to justice is not denied to those most in need at a time that they are least able to afford to pay for legal services.

If you should qualify for our “Access to Justice Package”, we will provide you with legal advice and services and charge you at half our standard rate.

Under this package we can provide the following services:

  • An initial one hour interview in which we give tailored advice offering the best options to suit the particular circumstances of your case. Fee: £50 (plus VAT if appropriate) or
  • Our full casework service, at a reduced hourly rate of £75 per hour (plus VAT if appropriate). Our full casework service can include representation at Court or Tribunal if this required (costs will be discussed if appropriate). We will provide you with a costs estimate at the outset and keep you informed if that estimate is likely to change as your case progresses.

In order to qualify for our “Access to Justice Package” you must be in receipt of one of the following welfare benefits:

  • Income-based Jobseekers Allowance
  • Income Support
  • Working Tax Credit (but not also in receipt of Child Tax Credit)
  • Pension Credit Guarantee Credit
  • Income-related Employment and Support Allowance

Prior to being offered the package, you will need to provide us with evidence of the qualifying benefit, showing entitlement within the last month.

This package is offered subject to the following conditions:

  • The payment required will depend on what work is needed and the time scale in which the work must be undertaken. For example, in emergency applications, or cases where a great deal of initial work is required, we will expect a payment on account commensurate with the amount of work involved. In each case, the solicitor will advise you at your first meeting of what work is needed and the amount you will need to pay.
  • Monthly payment options may be available provided a monthly standing order is set up.  In the event that payments are not maintained as agreed, we shall have no option but to cease acting immediately.
  • In relation to the initial appointment and full case assessment, payment in full is required on the day.
